How do I clear my browser cache?

What is browser cache and why clear it?

The supported browsers for FireNote are Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox. Your browser saves temporary files such as images and scripts to help websites load faster. However, over time, this cached data may become outdated or corrupted, leading to slow loading, display errors, or login difficulties. Clearing the cache prompts the browser to retrieve updated data.

For optimal experience, always use the latest version of your chosen browser. If you encounter issues, switching to Google Chrome is advised, as it offers the best compatibility with FireNote.

Important Notes

  • Clearing cache may log you out of websites and remove saved preferences.

  • It’s a common fix for:

    • Broken layouts

    • Old content showing

    • Slow browsing

  • You usually don’t need to clear it often—only when issues appear.

Summary

  • All major browsers use similar steps:
Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached files → Clear

  • Keyboard shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Delete) works in most browsers

  • Safari is slightly different, using Develop menu or Privacy settings
